Hannes Schwandt is an assistant professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. His research interests include Health Economics, Economic Demography, and Labor Economics. His research has been published in journals such as Science, PNAS, the Economic Journal, and the Journal of Human Resources and has been featured in media outlets including the Atlantic, WSJ, Financial Times, FAZ, TIME, NPR and the Washington Post.
Hannes received his PhD in the European Doctoral Programme at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and the London School of Economics. He is also affiliated to the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development at UZH, the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE, and IZA. Before joining the Economics Department in Zurich he spent three years as a post-doc at Princeton.
