The Center for Health and Wellbeing welcomes funding proposals from CHW affiliates for health-focused conferences during academic year 2025-26.
Conference proposals requesting CHW financial support:
- Must have a health or health policy issue as the central conference theme, but may center around any disciplines in the social sciences, natural sciences, humanities, and/or engineering.
- Must take place before May 31, 2026 (so that any expenses can be processed and books closed before the end of the fiscal year).
- Must take place on the Princeton University campus.
- Must be cost conscious – no first class travel, reasonable catering costs, no speaker lodging significantly before or after conference.
- Must allow attendance by some Princeton students; may allow attendance by the general public. Speakers may include faculty, researchers, staff, and/or students from inside or outside Princeton University.
- Must have organizers process the conference-related payments. CHW will designate a chart string for the organizers’ use; CHW staff will not process payments or manage logistical arrangements.
To be considered for this funding, please send the following information to [email protected]:
- Overall notional budget for the conference, including key areas like speaker travel and accommodation, catering, Conference and Event Services expenses, and other essential costs;
- Specific amount requested from CHW, and a description of the budget items proposed to be covered with CHW contributions;
- Anticipated speakers, notional agenda/session topics, and any planned special events;
- Planned conference venue;
- Anticipated number of Princeton and non-Princeton participants, including breakdowns of anticipated undergraduate students, graduate students, staff, postdocs, and faculty.
The maximum amount of funding that can be requested is $10,000, but proposals with reasonable costs and which include cost sharing from other sources will receive preference.
The application deadline is Monday, August 25.
