Princeton University’s Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHW) encourages students to explore health challenges affecting the developed and developing world, from curbing the spread of infectious disease to reducing health disparities. In 2024, its Internships in Global Health program funded 97 health-focused internships and research projects across six continents. A newly released video offers a glimpse into one of these immersive, often life-changing experiences, which broaden students’ understanding of public health policy and practice.
The video features Lucia Wetherill ’25, who completed a summer internship with The Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Geneva, Switzerland. Wetherill, a School of Public and International Affairs major who is minoring in Global Health and Latin American Studies, talks about her work on laboratory governance and gaining a deeper perspective on global health.
