Health Policy Careers Panel: Perspectives and Advice from Four Princeton Alumni

Come join as four Princeton alumni discuss their domestic health policy-focused career paths and offer advice to current students. Ellie DeGarmo ’17 is a joint JD/MPH degree candidate at Georgetown University Law Center and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.  Matthew Richardson, MPA ’18 is the Government Affairs Manager for the National Service Office for Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First.  Alex Sheff, MPA ‘16 is the Director of Policy and Government Relations at Health Care For All (HCFA).  Sarina Shrier ’16 is a Senior Consultant for Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice. The event will be moderated by Professor Heather Howard, co-director of the Center for Health and Wellbeing's Global Health Program and director of State Health and Value Strategies.

Ellie DeGarmo ’17

Joint JD/MPH degree candidate at Georgetown University Law Center and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Former Project 55 Fellow at the New York Academy of Medicine focusing on health policy, research, and evaluation.

Matthew Richardson, MPA ’18

Government Affairs Manager for the National Service Office for Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First, focusing on social determinants of family health. Past experience covering health policy for U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch.

Alex Sheff, MPA ‘16

Director of Policy and Government Relations at Health Care For All (HCFA). Past experience working as the Senior Program Manager for Medicaid Strategies at Mass General Brigham and as the Senior Health Policy Advisor to U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow.

Sarina Shrier ’16

Senior Consultant for Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice. Past experience working at the New York City Mayor's Office of Management and Budget leading fiscal oversight and policy coordination for the NYC Health + Hospitals system and Medicaid program.
