Lunch Seminar

Karl le Roux, MD & Sally le Roux, MD - Zithulele Hospital

Karl le Roux received his MD from the University of Cape Town (UCT). He holds postgraduate diplomas in anesthetics and obstetrics, and he has a Master's in International Health from Uppsala University. Karl served as Chairperson of the Rural Doctors’ Association of Southern Africa (RuDASA) from 2008 to 2012, where he advocated for better policies for rural healthcare and for better working conditions for rural healthcare workers. He is an honorary lecturer at the UCT Primary Health Care Directorate.

Sally le Roux received her MD from the University of Cape Town (UCT); she holds postgraduate diplomas in child health and HIV management. She has a Master's degree in International Health from Sweden’s Uppsala University. She was instrumental in setting up Zithulele Hospital's anti-retroviral (ARV) care program in 2006 and is passionate about pediatric HIV and TB care.
